It's that time of year to renew your Occupational Tax Certificate (business license) for 2023. Per Statham City Code, business license renewals (non-regulatory) shall be made annually on or before January 1 of each year. Alcoholic beverage license renewals shall be made on or before November 30 of each year. All business license applications, regulations and information can be found on the City's website:

Alcoholic Beverage Licenses: per Statham Code Sec. 4-41(a) "Applications for renewal must be filed before November 30 of each year. Any renewal applications received after November 30 shall pay, in addition to the annual fee, a late charge of 20 percent. If license application is received after January 1, such application shall be treated as an initial application, and the applicant shall be required to comply with all rules and regulations for the granting of licenses as if no previous license had been held."
Alcoholic beverage distance waivers must be approved annually by City Council. If you sell alcohol and require a distance waiver, please return your application packets no later than November 15 to allow time for advertising in the Barrow News Journal as required by Statham City Code.
