 The  Public Works Department is responsible for  maintaining the streets, right-of-ways, parks and recreation areas. In  addition, the public works department picks up yard debris on a weekly basis, installs  new water meters, assists with city events or functions, performs routine  repairs and maintenance of city-owned buildings, and maintenance and repairs of  city-owned vehicles and equipment. Public works also assists the water  department with repairs or maintenance of water or sewer lines on an as-needed  basis. 
 Water Meter Damage: Be careful when mowing and weed eating around  water meters. You are responsible for any damage to the meter.
 Leaf and Limb Pick-Up
 THE CITY WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO REMOVE EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF LIMBS AND  DEBRIS. EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF LIMBS AND DEBRIS WILL CARRY A $125 CHARGE PER  LOAD THAT WILL NEED TO BE PRE-PAID. IF YOU HAVE TREES CUT DOWN ON YOUR PROPERTY  OR IF ARE CLEARING EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF LAND, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THEM  REMOVED BY A TREE REMOVAL SERVICE. 
However,  if you live inside the city limits and require general minimal yard maintenance  such as removal of small limbs, trimmings and debris, we will pick those up at  no charge. Call City Hall at (770) 725-5455 ext. 2006 or 2015 to schedule a  pickup. Please be sure to stack debris lengthwise at the road, and no limbs  should exceed 12 foot in length. Do not place limbs under power or phone lines.
