Mayor and City Council

Mayor Piper

Message from Mayor Piper

It is an honor and privilege to be elected Mayor of Statham. On behalf of the City Council, welcome to our updated website. We hope that you find our format easy to maneuver.

Statham is a great little city to reside, to raise a family or to retire, as my wife and I did several years ago. Statham has wonderful Citizens with many skill sets and lots to offer; I invite you to come to Work Sessions and City Council Meetings to share how you can help our Community grow stronger in years ahead. Many of our Citizens volunteer on a daily basis to help the less fortunate and those unable to do their daily tasks. One of my favorite quotes in my life is from Robert E. Lee: "Do your duty in all things. You cannot do more. You should never wish to do less." The City is on the National Register having been Established in 1892. You will find great Neighborhoods, wonderful Antiques Stores, Boutique Shops, almost every denomination of Churches and a variety of Restaurants. Feel free to walk and explore our city. Please come, visit and make a New Friend!

Thank you for visiting our website and feel free to stop in at City Hall to say hello.
